2 months

Hi, It's me Addison.
I'm only 5 hours old in this picture.

Now I'm 2 months WOW!! It's been fun.
It all started on 10-22-09 to bright lights & doctors
yelling for dad to come look.
I'm guessing this must be dad.

Dad got to spend the first hour helping the nurses
check my vitals, bath me, & get me wrapped
tightly in a blanket to go meet mom.
So this must be my mom.

For the next 3 days we had to stay in the hospital,
but I was getting pretty spoiled from being
pushed around in a cart, mommy letting me sleep
in her lap, daddy changing my diapers, & getting
held by lots of visitors.

When we arrived home on Sunday I got my own
welcome home party!!
My mom's family was there & I got to meet my
big brother Bosley (the dog) & my cousin Ryker.

2 months (cont.)

On 10-31-09 my parents were really excitied &
kept talking about putting me in a costume.
Next thing I knew I'm dressed as a pumkin
celebrating Halloween.

Over the next few weeks things seemed a little
more calm around the house, just me & mom
hanging out durning the day taking lots of pictures
in all my different outfits.
(my aunt Haven took the naked ones)
Then at night it was bath time & laying on the
couch with dad winding down for the night.

I had to go meet my doctor for my 2 week check up.
He said I gained 9 ounces & grew almost an inch taller.
He told my parents things were looking really good
& I was a healthy baby.
I also got to go to my first birthday party for my cousin
Max, there were a lot of boys running around screaming.
On 11-26-09 I got to enjoy another holiday
Thanksgiving. We spent it with dad's family in Goshen.
On 12-3-09 my parents took me to go see santa clause
I guess I wasn't as excitied as they were
because I just slept.

But they keep telling me if I'm good santa will
bring me presents for Christmas.
This Christmas thing must be a really big thing
because my mom is alway's out shopping or getting
things ready for a party. I guess I better be good.
On 12-18-09 they took me to one of the parties my mom
has been planning and boy was they right parties are fun.
We had the party with some of my mom's family, & I got to open
my first present from my cousin Drake.
I also got to meet that santa clause guy agian, but this
time I was awake & he's not so bad.

Cont. 2 months

The very next day we had 2 parties that we went to.
One with dad's family & one with mom's family.
At mom's party santa clause showed up again
but this time he brought me a present.
I sure can't wait until the 25th. I think I'm really
going to like this Christmas thing.

For about a week now I have been sleeping though
the night my mom says she is very thankful.
I don't know why she doesn't like hanging out in the
middle of the night with me.
But now we have play time in the mornings.
We lay on the floor as she watches me kick my
arms & legs around, I smile at her, & make
all sorts of noises.
Yesterday I had my 2 month check up.
My doctor says I weight 12'3, I'm 23.5 inches long,
& I still look very healthy.
Then just when I thought we were done in comes the
nurse giving me 3 shots. I wasn't happy with her
& I surely gon't want to go back there again.
There's just a short story of what's been happening
in the 2 months I have been here.
I think I arrived at a fun time with all the holidays
I've got to enjoy.

Family Pictures 2009

We went to Kiddie Kandids to have our family pictures.

Addison is 3 1/2 weeks old.

Addison's 1st Halloween

Wow, what a different Halloween we had this year. We are usually out and about somewhere, or just buying candy and opening the door for all the little neighbor kids. But with Addy only being 9 days old we weren't wanting to go anywhere because she was still so little, it was to cold, and of how many people are sick right now. So we bought her a costume and just sat home with the lights out and just the 3 of us hung out for the evening. We did have some of my family come over so that we could still give Ryker his treats & get some pictures of him and Addy in there costumes together. I don't think Ryker still knows what to think about her, he let her sit on his lap for about 5 seconds then he had enough of that.

The Arrival of Addison

So for the last couple months of my pregnancy Dr. Anderson has been talking to us about possiblity of me having to have a c-section, which really made me more nervous about having the baby but at this point it was to late to turn back now. On Tuesday October 20th was my 40 week appointment we meet with the doctor and it come down to I was going to have a c-section on THURSDAY!! Dr. Anderson called over to the hospital and made all the arrangement. It was getting so real, Dano and I are going to be parents in 2 days and I have to have a c-section. How much sleep do you think I got those last 2 nights? Well it was Thursday morning and I had to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. We arrived, got checked in, and I was hooked up to all the machines which was a joke trying to get my IV in after 6 times, then here comes the doctors about 7:30 to walk me back to the operating room and told Dano to suit up they would be back to get him in a minute. So back in this cold little operating room I sit nervously getting the spinal block, when I can just start to feel everything run down to my legs and then down I lay. I'm laying there on the table just listening to everyone talk when I hear them say "go get the husband" I knew it must be time. Dano sitting up by my head, 15 minutes of us chatting and listening to the doctors, out came Addison. It was the best feeling in the world to hear the doctors tell Daniel to come look at your healthy 8 lb 20 in baby girl and hearing that first cry. Now the worst part was Dano got to carry her down to the nursery and help get her all cleaned up, while I lay there for another 30 minutes getting stiched up. Finally after that long 30 minutes they wheel me back to my room and nobody is there to see me anymore there all at the nursery looking at Addison. As I'm lying in bed waiting to see and hold my little girl my IV pops out of my arm, blood is squirting all over my gown, I'm getting nauseaed and start vomitting they can't give my any medicine because there once again fighting to get my IV back in. So finally after 2 hours from when Addison was born I finaly got to hold her and enjoy the feeling of being a mommy. But all in all the c-section wasn't really as bad as I thought it was going to be. I think the nurses trying to get my IV's in was the worst part and of course the long period in between Addy being born and me getting to hold her.

Baby Shower

Mindy, Haven & my mother-in-law planned me a baby shower for all my family & friends on Sept. 12th 2009. We had it in Mindy's backyard which was really nice and warm that day, they also had lots of yummy food for everyone.

I had a really good turn out. Here are a few pictures of some of the guests & things that I got.

Sand Hollow

This weekend Daniel & I took a trip to St. George. We left Friday night and stayed at Luke & Ralani house for the weekend. Saturday the boys got up early hooked up Luke's boat and went fishing to Sand Hollow, then later that day us girls packed up some lunch for everyone and headed to the lake. When we got there on Friday it was 112 degrees I thought I was going to die, but Saturday it drop down to 92 degrees with some cloud coverage so it ended up being a really nice day to hang out on the lake. When us girls got there they did a little more fishing, then we had some fun. Ralani started out by showing everyone her talent in wake boarding, which she did an awesome job.

Next Dano had to give it a try, he had a few face plants, swallowed a lot of water, but he finally got the hang of it. He was doing really great for his 1st time, then he got cocky and tried holding on with one hand and had another face plant into the water.

Then it was Jessie turn, she as well had a few face plants, but was not going to give up until she was up. She kept trying until the boat started giving us troubles.

So we just putted around drinking beer, swimming and relaxing on the boat. But all in all it was a nice weekend to go down there and hang out with everyone.
